Hi! I’m Niklas, an open-minded and curious computer science/math student at KIT in Germany.

Studies & Research

I’m really interested in the foundational concepts of things. Thus, I have a strong interest in mathematics and fundamental branches of theoretical computer science, like set theory, abstract algebra, category theory, logic and formal systems.

Regarding the more practical topics of computer science, I like both: the abstract ways of functional programming, as well as low level hacking in C or SSHing into servers. Recently, my interest in machine learning and data science has started getting stronger, so that’s what I’m mostly experimenting with nowadays.

When using my computer I’m mostly terminal-based.

I started a company together with some friends! We wanted to put our skills to good use and build great things as a team, so that’s what we’re doing now. These days, I’m mostly out there building product while trying to steer the company in the right direction.

Other interests

I consider myself an autodidact, so in my free time, I like to learn and try many different things. I also get really passionate about projects I start. Find out what I’m doing right now on my now page.

I also like to read quite a lot; you can find a list of books I’ve enjoyed on my Goodreads account. Got a favorite book I might want to read?

If you have any questions, please feel free to mail me, I’d love to hear from you!
